The Wasatch County Event Center was built March 2005 for equestrian enthusiasts to have a place out of the harsh elements of the Heber Valley. The project met some opposition from the residents saying it wasn’t fair to build such a wonderful building for just one purpose. They were right. In response, the Wasatch County Council made some very prudent decisions to make this more than they anticipated. A structure suitable for multiple uses. We bring to you The Wasatch County Events Complex.
The first event held in the event center was the 2005 Wasatch High School graduation. The graduates' families didn’t have to crowd in shoulder to shoulder. They could sit in one of the 1,850 stadium seats or one of the 2,150 chairs set-up on the state-of-the-art removable floor. No more scorching sun or crowded seats. They deserved the best and Wasatch County gave it to them.
Now under the direction of the Wasatch County Parks and Recreation the Wasatch County Events Complex continues to be the proud host of Wasatch High School Graduation, Utah High School State Rodeo Finals, Wasatch County Fair, Ram Wilderness Circuit Rodeo Finals, PRCA events, wrestling tournaments, health fairs, RV shows, soccer/baseball tryouts, concerts, circuses, livestock and exhibit shows, barrel races and more.
The Complex consists of 48,000sq ft. Indoor arena, 240’x140’ large outdoor arena, 240’x90’ small outdoor arena, 280’x140’ warm up arena, large and small stock pens, indoor stall barn, outdoor stalls, 4,650 stadium seats, 3,400 bleacher seats.
