The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization responsible for maintaining our Olympic facilities at world-class levels and using them to provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to watch, learn and excel in winter sports.
Inspired by the success and momentum of the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games, the Foundation has turned its focus toward embracing, engaging and involving Utah’s youth in winter sport
No federal, state, or Olympic funds support the legacy programs and facilities at Soldier Hollow. Instead, individuals and dedicated organizations support Soldier Hollow and its purposes, goals, and objectives by:
1) Assuring youth access to a very affordable and healthy ski program.
2) Assuring that no child’s Olympic dreams are denied If a child shows dedication, commitment, and talent, Soldier Hollow assures that child and his/her family that Olympic Hopeful funds will be available to ensure that he or she can represent the United States of America in a future Olympics.
3) Assuring that individuals with disabilities can dream their dreams and pursue their goals, whether in training for disabled competitions and the Paralympics or through the experiences of winter, made possible by the winter recreational opportunities at Soldier Hollow, such as snowshoeing or tubing.
In Heber Valley, Soldier Hollow interprets the Olympic ideals to mean educating and training youth to their full potential and addressing this potential to create a kinder world for all people. Exposing youth to exemplary role models, challenging situations, inspiring coaches and teachers, and opportunities to interact is how this is accomplished through Soldier Hollow programs and offerings.
