The Gold course sits at some of the highest elevations of the Soldier Hollow complex, offering stunning views of the Heber Valley below. The course is a spectacular mountain course with significant elevations changes throughout. The vegetation on the course mirrors the surrounding native area vegetation, scrub oaks and native mountain valley grasses. The championship, 36-hole facility completes the year-round recreation programs at the 2002 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games venue. Two 18-hole courses — appropriately named the Gold and Silver courses — offer challenging play for golfers of all abilities and amazing views of the Heber Valley and majestic Mount Timpanogos.
Golfers and non-golfers alike will enjoy the beauty of the facilities, the new clubhouse with floor-to-ceiling windows and the onsite restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Gene Bates Golf Design provided the unique design, which boasts native Utah vegetation, one of the longest courses in the state and the originality of being the only golf course built on an Olympic venue. Soldier Hollow's 36-hole complex has become a favorite Utah golf destination. Given the “Architecture Award” by Golf Digest for 2007/2008. Golfweek Magazine named the Gold Course in its Best Courses You Can Play in Utah, Best Municipal Courses and Top 50 Best Public Access Courses. Golf Digest Magazine named it Best in State and listed it in Best New Affordable Public-Access Courses.
