Soldier Hollow Competition Building Expansion Groundbreaking

The teams and staff at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, in conjunction with the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation and the Eccles family, held a grand groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, June 9, at 3:30 pm for the upcoming renovated and expanded competition building. This world-class facility will transform Nordic skiing resources in Utah and the Heber Valley, and plans to be open just in time for IBU World Cup in March 2024.

Several key speakers shared their enthusiasm for both cross-country and biathlon sports, along with their excitement for the new building project. With generous funding from the state, along with private donations, this Olympic venue will receive some major enhancements that allow the staff and course to better serve the community and grow the sport in some big ways, as well as continue to attract national and international competitions.
