NEW INITIATIVES:
Chamber Cares – Introducing Chamber Cares, a gateway to local service opportunities fostering compassion and unity. Businesses and individuals can make a meaningful impact on the community by exploring various ways to contribute to the well-being of neighbors and local neighborhoods with ongoing updates posted to this web page. The Chamber recognizes its strong voice in the community and wants to support opportunities to give back, including sharing information regarding such opportunities.
Wasatch Works – Empowering local youth and supporting businesses with staffing shortages, this program allows local students to earn up to $2,000 towards higher education costs. The Chamber encourages community contributions to invest in the next generation of leaders, ensuring deserving kids have access to advanced education opportunities.
Wellness Wednesday – The new Wellness Wednesday initiative, designed exclusively for Chamber members, focuses on fostering the well-being of the individual. Held quarterly at the Heber Valley Hospital, this program offers members the opportunity to engage in enriching experiences and enjoy a complimentary lunch. Local wellness experts will share valuable information, tools, and resources, guiding participants in the art of self-care and stress management tailored to their unique needs. The goal is to empower business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs on their path to a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Other Programs & Initiatives – The Chamber also offers a range of programs such as the Chamber Sponsored Healthcare Benefits Program, recurring Business of the Month awards, ribbon cutting celebrations for new businesses, an online business resource center, and a new resident information site. NOTEWORTHY EVENTS:
Ask Heber Valley Community Expo – The second annual expo on March 16th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Wasatch County Recreation Center provides unique opportunities to connect with local businesses and see live demonstrations. Admission is free, and attendees supporting the local food drive can drop off non-perishable food items for a chance to win prizes. The first 300 families receive a complimentary tote bag.
Donuts with the Director – Join Executive Director Dallin Koecher for informal discussions on community collaborations and insights. Happening bi-monthly on the second Wednesday at 8:30 AM inside the Heber Valley Chamber Visitor Center, attendance is free and light refreshments are served. Community members are encouraged to share their thoughts on how the Heber Valley Chamber can better serve local businesses and residents.
Additional recurring Chamber events include Chamber Monthly Luncheons focusing on timely and relevant topics, Chamber Monthly After-Hours Mixers hosted at different area businesses and intended for unique networking opportunities, annual Ice Cream Social at the summer Heber Market on Main, annual Golf Tournament in August, and annual Holiday Gala toward the end of the year.
