This site is dedicated to those who have served in any United States military conflict while a citizen of Wasatch County. Those who have been to Memorial Hill have long enjoyed the peaceful feelings and beautiful scenery that this special setting gives. We welcome you, and ask that you to keep this in mind as you visit. Please, no ATVs, horses, or firearms. All dogs must be leashed. The access road and hilltop are open to vehicles, bicyclists, and foot traffic. Check out the 360-degree video experience!

The property which includes "Memorial Hill" was owned at one time by Jesse Hughes McCarrell, lovingly known as "Uncle Jesse." Later, Elijah Watkins owned it, and eventually the county purchased his holdings, including the hill and surrounding land for the purpose of memorializing local area war veterans for several wars.

The spiral road winds around the hill to the top, and memorial pillars sit at the top with brass plaques where veterans' names are inscribed. It appears the project was concluded about 1927. There was a revived effort in 1990 to collect additional names.
