On Friday, April 22, Mark and Jill Dorrough held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new business, Heber City Dental at 1232 South 345 East in Heber near Tractor Supply.
Dr. Mark Dorrough has been practicing general dentistry in Oregon for the past 20 years, until recently when he sold his business to start a new practice in Heber. Before selling his practice in Oregon, Mark andJill looked at a variety of economic factors to help them decide on where to go. They looked at growth trends of the valley, family size, average home price, education level and more to determine that Heber Valley was the best fit for them.
“It is very exciting for us to see the growth and potential of the Heber Valley. The population growth and projections really helped us make our decision to call this beautiful place home,” said Mark.
Construction on the new building is set to begin Monday, April 25. They expect to be in by January 2017. From the beginning of the process the Dorroughs wanted to hire local professionals, so they reached out to Lythgoe Design. With the help of Lythgoe, the Dorroughs designed a two-story building with the intentions of leasing or selling the main floor to one or two business owners.
“Our new dental office will occupy the upper level of the new building. The lower level has 3000 square feet of professional tenant space available, which can be broken into two smaller leases of about 1350 and 1650 square feet,” said Jill.
Prospective tenants can email Jill at [email protected] or call 503-830-5375 for more information regarding the main level business space.
Mark and Jill are very excited to bring their practice, and family to the Heber Valley. They are the parents of seven children, three in college and four living at home.
