Duchesne Ridge

This out-and-back dirt road ride follows the Duchesne Ridge to Wolf Creek Summit, overlooking the West Fork of the Duchesne canyon and offering views of the High Uintas. Because the road follows the ridge, there is little change in elevation, making this a great ride for beginners and distances can be varied.

The entire length of the ride to Wolf Creek Summit is 17 miles round-trip. A shorter ride (12 miles round-trip) reaches Heart Lake Overlook, a heart-shaped lake bordered by conglomerate spires.

The Duchesne Ridge road is open to motor vehicles and several undeveloped campsites along the ridge make this a perfect weekend getaway!
