This week at the Chamber Luncheon we had a panel of five experts speak about marketing. To oversimplify the importance of marketing, imagine trying to catch fish with only a tiny hook. Without dressing up the lure to match it to the right type of fish you're going for you’ll never catch a thing. We can’t rely on getting lucky, like I was once, and snag a fish swimming by the belly! That’s why it was said by a panelist that one of the most valuable employees any business should have is “Mark” from “mark”eting, by devoting time and money to these efforts. Without consistent and active marketing, it’s like fishing with only a hook. This is a huge topic with an ocean of information. Like learning to fish, it’s helpful to hire a guide to help you succeed. Knowing we have local experts who can help us navigate these waters can help us feel less overwhelmed and lead us to greater success. A big thanks to Cassandra, Josh, Shay, Sarah, and Jessica for their insights!
