The Cottonwood Loop at Pine Creek Campground is a beautiful camping area located in Wasatch Mountain State Park (the second largest state park in Utah). The campground is situated in the heart of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, surrounded by towering pine trees and stunning mountain vistas. The Cottonwood Loop offers a variety of camping options, including tent sites, RV sites, and cabins, as well as a range of amenities. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing, or simply relax and take in the natural beauty of the area.
This state park provides an onsite Visitor Center where visitors can purchase a state park pass or day-use pass, learn about the area, walk through the plant and animal museum, and visit the fish pond onsite. Soldier Hollow, the 2002 Olympic winter venue, is located at the park's south end and is open year-round. There are four 18-hole golf courses located inside Wasatch Mountain State Park: the Lake Course and Mountain Course are located in north Midway; the Gold Course and Silver Course are located adjacent to Soldier Hollow in the southern portion of the state park.
