We met up with Mitchel Burns, COO at Red Ledges, to learn more about the private residential community in Heber Valley. This local development is the proud recipient of the October 2022 Heber Valley Chamber Business of the Month award.
With a vision to preserve and share the serene beauty of land that has been in the family for generations, the community’s founders amassed 2,000 acres in Heber Valley over a span of 40 years to create what is now Red Ledges. The multi-generational family has some deep roots in Heber Valley (such as the Joyce and M. Anthony Burns Recreation Center – named after his family), and they built the community with intentional thought to invite people from urban areas to experience a pristine rural destination. Red Ledges serves as both primary residences and secondary residences for a variety of owners and users, including retirees, families, and multi-generational visitors. Built on a philosophy of authenticity, Red Ledges is an extraordinary private community where generations come together to connect with the natural beauty of the surroundings, with other residents, and with the community as a whole.
This 2,000-acre development has nearly 300 homes completed with over 100 additional homes being built. The idyllic location offers stunning mountain views, gorgeous modern mountain homes, and a variety of luxe amenities, including golf courses and golf school, swimming, tennis, pickleball, clubhouse, dining, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, gym with fitness classes, ski groups, cultural outings, guided adventures, and more.
The impressive 18-hole Jack Nicholas Signature Championship Golf Course and Golf Park are loved by all who play. And the Jim McLean Golf School operates year-round with a state-of-the-art golf simulator for those who want to learn to play and for those wishing to work on their golf game. The Cliff Drysdale Tennis School provides a fun environment for players of all abilities to learn and improve their skills. The Red Ledges Clubhouse has award-winning chefs and dining at a central location within the development. And the onsite Equestrian Center is a partnership with local outfitter, KB Horses.
Red Ledges looks to continue its contribution to the existing sense of community organically by attracting new residents (full-time and seasonal) who want to connect, make new friends, and contribute in a meaningful way to our valley. The staff love to be involved locally, and they give back to local non-profits such as Paws for Life and contribute to our youth by supporting Wasatch High School clubs and teams. In addition, Red Ledges is a proud and active member of Heber Valley Chamber – helping support key initiatives that impact the community.
Mitchel invites those interested in learning more about Red Ledges to come visit the development and get a greater sense of what this residential development is all about.
