Megan and Shannon grew up in a house with six kids. Mom’s kitchen was always open, she has always baked bread and sweets. The Midway Bakery is a family run business, by three of the sisters and their mom. Megan, Shannon, Devon, and mom – Debbie own and operate the business. Devon and mom have the gift of baking, while Shannon and Megan are more business wise.
Everything in the bakery is made from scratch. Items available include sweet rolls, croissants, scones, cookies, bread, breakfast, and lunch items. The bakery’s breakfast sandwich is one of the more popular items on the menu. They can also make wedding and birthday cakes. They tend to keep the cakes on the simpler side.
One of the reasons Midway Bakery was nominated for business of the month was their giving spirit. During the pandemic Midway Bakery has given away hundreds of loaves of bread. There were no questions asked, they simply baked the bread and left it out for those in need. Flour and yeast became scarce during the pandemic, but the bakery was able to obtain sufficient supplies to stay open and provide during the pandemic.
The bakery is very appreciative of the communities support during their first two years in business and look forward to providing delicious baked goods for many more years to come.
