March 2023 Business of the Month: Faded Rose Salon & Barbering
Resident and now small business owner Jessica Zitting is the proud owner of Faded Rose Salon and Barbering. She opened her salon and barbershop on Heber Main Street last fall after working over three years in the industry. Fulfilling her dream of being a local business owner, Jessica prides herself on offering fully personalized services. She has also expanded her business to offer other women in the beauty industry a place to set up shop. Currently, Jessica’s business employs four additional talented women, offering various hair and beauty services, including eyelash extensions, facials, waxing, acrylic and gel nails, and spray tans. These services are provided in addition to personalized haircuts, straight razor shaves, and steam towel washes. Jessica is known for her barbering skills and loves cuts and colors too. She loves providing professional services to men, women, and kids of all ages.
Jessica added a kid’s activity and playroom inside her salon operations. This fun, friendly, and safe zone allows parents to come in and get their services done while their kiddos are entertained or entertaining themselves. It’s also a great space for little ones to play while waiting for appointments.
When asked about her business name and values, Jessica expressed her sincere interest in owning her salon to create a space where all are welcome. She can provide salon and barbering services and other beauty services to various diverse clientele. For Jessica, Heber Valley is home. Born and raised here, she knows how amazing the local community is, how helpful our residents are, and how we want to see others succeed. She is a part of that and loves the small community feel. The business name Faded Rose? It’s simple. Jessica specializes in fades and barbering, and she loves roses. It’s a beautiful blend of both of those things.
And since she opened the shop in October 2022, she has grown busier and busier – mainly through word-of-mouth from her clients. Jessica said she loves getting to know people, and, for her, the best way is to sit them in her chair and learn about them. She also loves making people feel better with a good cut or color.
Jessica also shared her thoughts about being an active member of the Heber Valley Chamber. She can better stay connected with others in the community and get to know other local business owners she would not otherwise meet. Her participation in the local chamber makes her more connected with the community. And she’s even reconnected with old clients at chamber events.
