April 2021 Business of the Month: Northland Professional
This new Heber Main Street business opened its doors in 2019 – making Heber Valley its chosen location for the first North American flagship store. The Austrian outdoor lifestyle brand was established in 1973 and has been recognized as the world’s foremost modern mountain lifestyle and outdoor technical outfitter for over 47 years. With major product distribution in South Patagonia, Argentina, and Chile, Northland Professional discovered Heber Valley during a visit in conjunction with an outdoor retail event in Salt Lake. The now local owners went for a drive up and over Guardsman Pass when they happily found themselves driving into Midway in awe at all the natural beauty that surrounded them. It was then that they decided their future and the ongoing success of their company expansion would be in our stunning Heber Valley.
The owners put down roots in Midway and purchased a rental home along Main Street which they later converted to a retail space that now houses the Northland Professional storefront. Today, they provide a broad range of high-quality outdoor clothing, shoes, gear, and more. Their unique product lines offer both fashionable and relaxed attire for a more mountain casual look, as well as high-functioning and more rugged outdoor clothing and gear for those looking to put it to the test. Their great variety of products means they have something for everyone in their shop. Whether looking for some fun new jewelry to add to your collection, needing a new pair of hiking shoes, or just browsing for this season’s technical clothing, they have what you need. And their staff is extremely knowledgeable and super friendly, making the in-store experience very welcoming. While perusing their fun mix of products from clothing and shoes to candles and stickers to towels and shades, we also noticed their section of products from other local businesses.
