A Summer Full Of Events In Heber Valley

So Much MORE to Do This Summer

We’re ready to kickoff summer in a big way! With open air markets, outdoor concerts, baseball tournaments, car shows, art festivals, theatre performances, running and biking races, fireworks, rodeos, and one of the biggest demolition derbies in the western U.S. Whew... and that’s just the first half of the season. MUSIC, MARKETS & FESTIVALS

Heber Thursday Market on Main           
Thursdays, 5:00 – 9:00 PM           
Heber City Main Street Park           
250 S Main Street, Heber

Join the local community each week for food, music, and fun at the Heber City Main Street Park. Bring your family and friends, get dinner from one of the many food trucks, peruse the local artisan booths, bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy the free outdoor concert on the lawn that starts at 6:30 pm. Happening every Thursday from 5 to 9 pm at Heber City Main Street Park and runs for 12 consecutive weeks from June 1st through August 17th.

RW Erickson Antique Power Show

Visit this Antique Power Museum with the best display of vintage vehicles, tractors, bikes, and engines in Utah. Explore the pioneer village, visit the blacksmith, and watch the live demonstrations. These interactive demos show how people lived in this area in the past.

Plein Air Art Festival

Back for another year of stunning artwork created from the natural landscapes that surround, head over to Midway Town Hall to see the beautiful art pieces and talk with the artists. This event is always well attended.

Back to the 50s Car Show

This annual car show is an all-day event with plenty to see and do. Activities include music, games, and awards for the cars.

Red, White, and Blue Festival           
July 4th, 7:00 AM - 10:30 PM

Join us for a daylong celebration of independence, family, and country on July 4th. Festivities kick off in the early morning with scenic Main-to-Main 10K and 5K races (register today), followed by a Patriotic Walk, breakfast, and flag ceremony. The day is chock full of fun and festivities, so come on out and celebrate in a big way at this local event that concludes with an impressive fireworks show overhead.

A Taste of Heber Valley

This inaugural event celebrates the fine tastes and indulgent delights of the dining scene in Heber Valley. Twelve restaurants have been selected to participate in this culinary event. Each dining establishment will offer small bites of their favorite restaurant dishes amid covered tents in the historic Midway Town Square. The daylong event will include live music and entertainment by the band June Brothers. Raffle prizes for dining gift certificates will be given away to attendees. Don't miss this unique and mouthwatering event!

TedFest Music Festival           
July 19th - 21st

The festival formerly known as Wasatch Mountain Music Festival is a family-friendly event held in the beautiful and quaint mountain town of Wallsburg, Utah. The festival offers a fun mix of contemporary and traditional roots-based music bringing together the best of bluegrass, Celtic, folk, singer-songwriter, and roots rock music.

Wasatch County Fair           
July 29th – August 3rd

Utah’s best small-town fair happens the first week of August each year and runs for a full week. Special events and activities take place each day and throughout the valley. Many events are free. Check out the FULL SCHEDULE HERE and plan for a full week of fun.

Wasatch Boomerfest Music Festival           
August 23rd - 25th

Plan to be at this incredible two-day music festival in August. There will be vendor booths, food trucks, activities for kids, and several well-known bands performing each day.

Swiss Days Festival           
August 30th - 31st

The annual Swiss Days event takes place the Friday and Saturday before Labor Day each year and draws a huge crowd on both days. Local and national vendors work tediously, crafting and creating their wares to display and sell. Swiss Days includes a race, HUGE outdoor craft fair, local parade, live entertainment, and so much more. (Tips on how to enjoy your experience.)

RODEO EVENTS

Witness the best in the west as competitors of all ages and abilities (from Junior High and High School to professional and globally-ranked) lay it all out here in Heber Valley at a chance to place in the top and among the best. All rodeo events are held at the Wasatch County Events Center and outdoor rodeo grounds.

 

Demolition Derby           
July 26th - 27th

Enjoy two nights of back-to-back action with metal-on-metal, the smell of dirt and exhaust permeating the open air, and plenty of excitement. The annual demolition derby is the largest in the state and sells out in advance every year. (Tickets on sale in early June.)

SCENIC RACES & COMPETITIONS

Wasatch 50           
June 8th           
UVU-Wasatch Campus           
3111 College Way, Heber

A truly epic route through some of Utah’s beautiful high country, this 21-mile loop features roughly 1,700 feet of climbing per lap and tackles almost the entirety of the Coyote Loop Trail System starting and finishing at Utah Valley University – Wasatch Campus. Come ride this challenging course, or cheer on the brave athletes for an awesome day of singletrack racing.

Disc Golf Tournaments

Playing on the enhanced course at Wasatch Mountain State Park, there are several disc golf tournaments coming up this summer. Join the fun and hone your skills at this mountainside course.

Jordanelle Triathlon

Rock Cliff Area at Jordanelle State Park, State Route 319, Francis, UT 84036

This event is taking place on Saturday, June 24th with a 7:00 AM start time at the Rock Cliff area of Jordanelle Reservoir.

Heber Half – Run for Autism

Enjoy this all-downhill course in scenic Heber Valley, and support children with autism across the state of Utah. The race course is beautiful and well-supported. This race is always a popular event in Heber Valley. Proceeds benefit Utah Autism Centers.
