Scenic Drives

Family-Friendly Activities

Pumpkin patches, hay mazes, and a scarecrow festival are just some of the fun festivities offered this time of the year.

Fall Festival & Haunted Hay Maze : 
The Fall Festival at Heber Valley Artisan Cheese is happening all month long and will include activities for the entire family. Enjoy the season while your kids play in the hay maze, corn pit, hay slide, bounce house, and many other fun attractions. Then head into the Kohler Creamery onsite for fresh cheese curds, grilled cheese sandwiches, and local made ice cream. Older kids and adults can really get into the spooky season with this year's Haunted Hayrides happening Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights throughout October. Looking to make it a bigger day of fun? Add on the dairy farm tour at 11:00 AM (Monday - Saturday).

Haunted Houses: 
Experience the bone-chilling excitement at this year's first After Dark at the Mortuary Haunted House! Tickets are only $10 at the door. This activity is for adults and kids ages 12 and up. All proceeds benefit the local non-profit, Charitable Acts Theatre. Come see what is lurking in the basement of the mortuary! Ah, ha, ha!!

Spooky Train Rides:     

Heber Valley Railroad runs two seasonally themed trains in the fall. Come ride along on the Pumpkin Train or the Halloween Train and make some fun memories with the train staff. 

This year’s Pumpkin Train is a 40-minute ride complete with costumed characters and a pumpkin cookie for each guest.

The Halloween Train features the infamous Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters on a 90-minute spooky train ride complete with additional costumed characters like roaming zombies and witches. Come dressed in your favorite costume for this fun train ride experience.

Events & Festivals

If horses and rodeo are your interests, then you need to be at the annual Fall Draft Horse Round Up. The event runs October 11th and 12th. Then head back to watch the talented Heber Valley Mounted Shooters on October 17th through 19th. And get tickets now for the Wilderness Circuit Rodeo Finals happening November 1st and 2nd.

Trick & Trunk-or-Treats

Join the community for these fun and FREE trick-or-treat and trunk-or-treat experiences. Mark your calendars and you can plan to be at them all! Costumes required, so plan ahead and have a great time.

Heber Main Street Halloween Fest Trick-or-Treat Event:  
Join the fun along Heber Main Street for lots of treats at the local stores. Enjoy trick-or-treating fun, a carnival fundraiser, food trucks, and more at the Heber City Tabernacle. Don your favorite costume and join the community party!
