Wasatch Mountain State Park is a nearly 22,000-acre preserve, which was set aside by the state in 1961.
SUMMER:
The park provides year-round recreation, including camping, picnic sites, a small fishing pond, two 18-hole golf courses (Mountain Course and Lake Course), and trails for hiking, mountain biking, off-highway vehicles, and horseback riding. Park facilities include 139 camping and picnic areas, two group-use pavilions, restrooms, hot showers, and utility hookups. The primitive Little Deer Creek campground is an excellent area for summer group parties and reunions. All camping is closed during winter months. Check out area CAMPING & CAMP SITES here.
The Wasatch Mountain State Park also features a disc golf course, a pump track for non-motorized bikes, and a 3D archery range. Rentals available at the Visitor Center include bikes, yard games, and GPS units for geocaching.
WINTER:
Wasatch Mountain State Park provides an excellent cross-country course and winter trails for snowshoeing with ski and snowshoe rentals available at its Visitor Center in Midway.
Wasatch Mountain State Park was proud to host a portion of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games at Soldier Hollow. The venue remains open to the public year-round with a variety of activities and events.
