KPCW Radio is a non-profit, volunteer-supported organization with the mission to inform and entertain a diverse community with quality local and national programming. KPCW distributes its local content on air, on its website, kpcw.org, and through social media platforms.
More than 50 voices from the Wasatch Back volunteer their time to host music programming on KPCW. Another 75 volunteers help with behind-the-scenes work at the studio. This deep use of community members on and off the air ensures that KPCW represents the community it serves.
News programs include the daily Local News Hour and Local View, as well as weekly shows like Mountain Money, This Green Earth and The Mountain Life. During music program, on-air hosts read public service announcements from area non-profits, as well as lost and found items. Our AAA music format (Adult Album Alternative) is enhanced with DJ choices and local artists.
